Working with athletes and helping them return to the sport they love is an area of special interest for us at Summit Physiotherapy. We have experience providing care to sports people at all levels, including kids/adolescents, weekend warriors/local players, middle aged / masters competitors as well as semi-professional and professional athletes. We have specific phases of rehabilitation which reflect the process that professional athletes undertake and we intend for this quality of service be available to anyone at any level. Because the demands of sport are very high on the body, Summit Physiotherapy is purposefully based out of high performance centres and gyms on the North West of Tasmania. This allows for you to properly load your body and to return to the field/pool/track in better condition then pre-injury

At Summit Physiotherapy we also have considerable experience with neurological rehabilitation. We have experience with neurological rehabilitation in an acute/sub-acute setting in hospital as well as longer term capacity building and clinical exercise prescription in a private setting. We strive to maximise the function and participation of those who are affected by neurological conditions through predominantly active, exercise based interventions in predominantly a gym-based environment`. Often this service is conducted with weekly sessions and often funded through the NDIS.
